Hi Dave

As others have mentioned these are to do with PC/TCP-IP connections.

Like Arlene, I don't end TCP but I DO ENDHOSTSVR  as it's been my 
experience that PC jobs have a habit of locking all sorts of weird things. 
It also prevents access to a number of things on the system that I want to 
remain stable during the backup (you know, IFS files, data files... stuff 
like that :)
