I responded to this once and it didn't seem to make it on the list. 
No idea why.  Trying again.  Arg, just found out why.  I guess it
helps if you spell your return e-mail addy right!

Would RTVSYSVAL QSRLNUM do it for you?  That will give you the
serial number to the machine.  This may, but is probably not, the 
name of the system you are connected to, but will be unique for
each machine you connect to.

not that i'm aware of. tried to do this years ago, looking at
the controller's active, but was not foolproof.
