Thanks for that Bill, but I wonder what the DATFMT parameter on STRSQL does?
The manual reference at

indicates that DATFMT "Specifies the date format used in SQL statements."
Not exactly detailed.  At least the auditors will be able to see their dates
with a 4 digit year.
