IBM was circulating rumors that it might disable OPNQRYF from working with
files with new types of fields in future releases (e.g.: after 2001).
After circulating these rumors as a trial balloon, they quickly came to
their senses.

I have heard that there are potential problems in the pipeline for anyone
using OPNQRYF in there applications running under OS/400 v4r5; I understand
that this is (or may be) due to changes made by IBM. Does anyone have more
information on this ?

Kind regards,
Jeff Bull.
