     a previous thread (last week or so) was on a similar topic.

However, to answer your questions:

You will gain zero space from deleting records.
If REUSEDLT(*YES), new records will be slotted into any
deleted record spaces.

Trying to estimate the time required has no simple answer.

The previous thread did suggest that it can be faster to copy the file
than use RGZPFM. They had (I believe) a larger file than yours
& gave up after 3 days of RGZPFM. The CPYF *only* took 7 hours.

Alternatively, I have previously suggested using the IBM supplied
(but not tested - use at your own risk) command RCLSPACE.

This command is availbale at V4* (I believe) in the QUSRTOOL
library & must be compiled (u must have C compiler).
See member TGPARCSI in file QATTINFO in this library.

It basically allows a shuffle of active/deleted records to opposite
ends of the file while the file is in use. Another parameter can be
specified to 'chop off' the deleted records part of the file but this
does need exclusive access to the file in question.
