× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

The Client Access Express Toolkit provides wizards that will generate
example code for you. If you have express installed correctly, there will be
a new menu option within the VB IDE called "Express Toolkit". Open the menu
& select "Link Tables". This wizard will generate the code necessary to
connect to a PF or LF.

This redbook
http://publib-b.boulder.ibm.com/Redbooks.nsf/RedbookAbstracts/sg245183.html?
Open will also provide you with numerous examples of using the toolkit.

Lastly, you can't use ADO Data Controls with the current (supported) version
of Express - you need to download the latest beta software from:

http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/clientaccess/beta/express.htm

The beta (finally!) updates the OLEDB level to 2.5, and the data controls
are all functional.
