I know the feeling, I also have several snippets and code examples from a
wide variety of sources. One idea that I found helpful is instead of One FAQ
I broke it down into categories, Languages, TCP/IP, SQL etc etc
I'd love to take a look at your work, 
PS, ever think of incorporating the FAQ into a help system such as ROBOHELP
???
