Janet,
What do you mean not as many hours in the day?  Comparing the Connection
conference to IBM's I see 5 1 and a half hour sessions where IBM's is only 4
such sessions a day.  Yes, it's only the equivalent of 3 full days but as a
consultant and having to miss billable hours to attend I like being able to
fly in Sunday morning and leave Wednesday afternoon and not miss a whole
week.

Having attended sessions in the past with a number of the speakers at the
Connection conference, and hearing most of the rest comment in this forum, I
think there is no doubt this should be a quality educational event.  As
Janet pointed out, since there is limited choice (only 6 paths) make sure
there is a session you want to attend in each time slot in order to get full
benefit.  I plan to attend and may see you there!

Also, you may be able to "beat the location".  I hear from previous
attendees that a lot of the resort establishments close at that time for the
summer "off season".  Perhaps someone else can comment on that.  But then,
we're just there for the education, right?
