That is true we are able to send the files, which are savfiles to the PCs,
but still only internally. We ado have the CFGSMTPA sent to relay though
our Exchange server.
If we do a DSPDSTLOG the only entry that shows up is an originating entry,
no router entry and no send entry.

I believe that you are mistaken. But SNDDST is so primitive
compared to
        SNDEMAIL.

If you are talking about sending out PCFILE documents (maybe
savefiles
copied to QDLS documents) I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but
using
SNDDST you can't send any document type to an SMTP destination
except
RFTDCA and FFTDCA (unless any kind person knows differently?)
This is not a limitation of the AS/400's SMTP support, but of SNDDST
(and
        OV/400).

        Subject: Mail disappears using SNDDST

        Hi All,

We are trying to mail out releases from our AS400 to some of our
clients.
We are using SNDDST command type *DOC. We send this file (*DOC) to
an
internet mail address. If we send it to our selves internally it
gets sent
to us with no problem. However, if we try to send to a client, the
400
        says
it sent it successfully, but the clients never receive anything.

We are sending from the AS400 and we use EXCHANGE on an NT SERVER.

Our network guru says he can't even see the mail go to the Exchange
server.

How does the 400 send the mail out, we stopped the SNADS
distribution
        queues
and the mail still goes. What method is the 400 using.

        We are on V4R2.

Does anyone have a direction to point me in so we can trace our
problem.

        TIA
        Ron
