HURRAH!!!!

Yes, Mike, you have hit the nail on the head.  A rather complex IP filtering
scheme had indeed been set up, that allowed only communication within the
loca 10. network.  Removing IP filtering took care of that, and the AS/400
is now a happy little bird.

Unbelievable.  But THAT'S why I love this community <grin>.
