Fwd: AS400 Announcements

I think this has zero impact on those of us USING this stuff - it just means 
that we bought it just before IBM dropped the sales of it, which is not 
unusual for us.  Our hardware sales reps are real good at selling our 
management on equipment they are trying to get rid of - they have succeeded 
at it before many times in the past & doubtless will in the future.  So long 
as we get decent bang for the buck from continuously improved stuff, I care 
not much.

                      May 31, 2001
                          Withdrawal of AS/400e? Server 9406 Model 170,  new 
model sales only.  Selected upgrades available also.
                          Withdrawal of Dedicated Server for Domino, 9406 Model 
170 , new model sales.  Selected upgrades available also.

                      September 28, 2001
                          Withdrawal of model upgrades from 6xx/Sxx to 7xx/8xx.

                          For 6xx/Sxx customers who need more performance or 
capacity, IBM
                          recommends ordering an upgrade to an 8xx model before
                          September 28, 2001.
