As far as it goes, that's true.  However, you can run SNA over TCP/IP 
(anynet?).  SNA over TCP/IP is slower because the system has to 
translate at both ends.

AFAIK, MQ Series does for TCP/IP what SNADS (ie SNDNETF) does for 
SNA.  But it costs extra.
