But I'm allowed to dream aren't I?  I have a dream ... 

I am sure it will eventually be pulled.  Notwithstanding the comment (from 
Walden?) about Synon using it.  I doubt CA have sufficient clout to force 
IBM to keep PL/1 alive for one product when a fairly simple conversion 
process could have it using C.  Customer's shouldn't care what language the 
tool is written in as long as it continues to function so they won't have 
any clout.  (Hmm ... do customers have clout with IBM anyway?)

I only use PL/1 for some tools I have that I can't be bothered rewriting 
until I'm forced to so do.
