It's a very basic source and object management tool. We use it, however,
have written our own tools to do the application installation and object
implementation from the "parts", as ADM calls them.

We've had problems with the method it uses to keep track of physical and
logical files and end up having to go in as security officer and rebuild the
files in the "secured" and tested levels of the project...

We are going to be considering moving to Softlanding in the near future.

As far as I know the product is "functionally stabilized" e.g.. no more
changes. It works ok, but seems to be sorely lacing in API's to customize.
We use it, however we have developed a "shell" around it to be more
customized for our site.

We have a client using ALDON. It seems to be a much more functional product.

Does anyone have any experience/comments about IBM's Application
Development Manager (optional component of 5769-PW1 Application
Development Tools) ?

Are you satisfied with the features/performance ?
How does it compare to competitive products like Aldon/CMS or SoftLanding
Turnover ?
