Title: RE: NetServer

Is it started? Have you already set up the shares? What are you trying access? QDLS needs a WRKDIRE entry. I've found that when you use the "Find Computer" sometimes the IP number works better.

Help!

I've recently converted my PC from Client Access V3R2 to Client Access
Express V4R5.
Terminal emulation and Operations Navigator work fine.
My problem is that I can't connect to the file shares via NetServer.

I've added the AS/400 system name and NetServer name to my HOSTS file. I've
added the NetServer name to my LMHOSTS file. I can ping the AS/400 system
name and the NetServer name, but I can't find the system (either with system
name, NetServer name, or IP address) with Start|Find|Computer. I've tried
mapping a network drive from Windows Explorer and that doesn't work either.

NetServer is up and running on the AS/400 (V4R5M0). Other users can connect
fine.

I'm running Windows 98 and service level SF64217 of Client Access Express
V4R5M0.
Client for Microsoft Networks is installed and I'm signing onto my PC with
my AS/400 userid/password.

"nbtstat -c" shows the NetServer name 3 times. However, when I try
"nbtstat -a NetServername" I get "Host not found".

I'm running out of ideas. Any assistance will be much appreciated!
