IMHO it is using the SAVRSTxxx commands.  These commands are part of the no
charge Object Connect feature which must be separately installed as 57xx-SS1
option 22.  If it is not installed it should be on your installation media.

The SAVRSTxxx commands basically amount to a single command which does the
equivalent SAVxxx, transfer, and RSTxxx automatically.  To automate it to be
recurring, just use the job scheduler on the sending system.

Information about the SAVRSTxxx commands can be found in the Backup and Recovery
manual.  It requires a SNA link, but can be done over TCP/IP by using Anynet.
The only tricky part here is setting up Anynet.  See the Backup and Recovery
manual for information on SAVRSTxxx.  The Anynet configuration is discussed
somewhere else, but I forget where -- probably the TCP/IP Configuration manual?
