And while I'm here...

<grin>

What's the easiest way to create a spooled file that has umlauts? Or any
other odd character? Does the CCSID of the printer file make a difference
when copying, say, to a stream file using a different CCSID?

Here's the deal... can I create a spooled file on my English-language AS/400
that looks like one created on a German-language machine? What is involved?
And where are the darned character sets for the various CCSIDs? I've been
looking all over the net, and they aren't easy to locate.

Joe
