Configuring AS/400 for incoming calls (PC side is just Dial-up Networking, 
TCP/IP is only protocol you need, suggest checking Require Encrypted 
Password  -  on 400 side the CHAP for password checking):

We use 7852-400 modems on 400 side, although that limits us to 33,600bps 
we can switch them automatically from Sync to Async mode when we start the 
PPP connection profile.

Hello all, 

Can anyone share information or point me to some books or websites with 
regards to PPP connections from a PC to an AS/400? 

I would like to connect from a standard PC and modem (home office) to our 
corporate AS/400 (with a modem as well).
