Jim,
     I believe that you are refering to HP printer's PCL commands. I've known 
these to be used by shops that can't use host print transform. They are queer 
looking commands that are hard coded into RPG program's and unfortunately print 
out on the first line of the report. They can be found in the appendix of the 
manual of the printer ro which you are printing.

Well, this is interesting, but not what I was looking for.

Our remote printers (LAN printers) all print in Landscape for everything
they print.  There was a table someone showed with some kinds of codes to
use to print in different CPIs and Landscape or Portrait.
