Title: RE: ANYNET Communication between Workstation and AS/400

Once configured, it has been working flawlessly for us.  We have a remote AS400 connected via SDLC to one machine and TCP over frame to another AS400 that does not have access to the SDLC connection.  This is running ANYNET.

As far as PC are concerned, we run a TCP/IP connection using CA 3.2 and CAE 4.4  We are running ANYNET on all three AS400s.  We do not run APPC connections between the workstation and the AS400s.

Subject: ANYNET Communication between Wrkstation and AS/400

Does anyone know how Anynet performs ?  My company has several NON-IP
Applications and our telecom infrastructure is removing DLS on our routers
in which case we must now find a viable solution to allow Applications
running on SNA to talk via IP, Mgmt has asked us to test ANYNET and I just
want to find out if anyone is currently using this and if there is anything
to be aware of.

Thanks.
