It is my understanding that it is not a matter of you runnng OV on OS/400
without any IBM support, but rather IBM is deliberately unenhancing OS/400 so
that it will no longer run OV & other products that many customers dependent
on, so the only way you can use OV is to NOT upgrade OS/400.

Really do not think IBM is going to do an about face on this one.
Rather then fight Big Blues' decision to end OV400( which has been extended at least twice already) why not just use Notes and augment the hole/ missing functions with Evergreen's products?
