Sometimes when Win 9x boxes will connect and NT won't it has to do with
sending an encrypted password.

NT requires this but Win9x doesn't always.

If you are running Win98 without problems you may want to check the
registry entry.

Procedure:
1)  Launch the Registry Editor as follows:
        Click on:       /Start/Run
        Type "regedit" and press enter.

2)  Double click on: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

3)  Locate the following Key:
       
/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/VxD/VNETSUP

4) Look for the following value

               EnablePlainTextPassword

If it is set to 1 then this may be your problem.
