Is your AS400 communicating with the Best UPS? If so, is it receiving a
power failure signal? If so, do you have a job that has the ups message
queue allocated. If yes to all but the last, that is causing your power
down. Check the system value QUPSMSGQ. IF it is QSYSOPR change it. After
the next failure, check the new message queue specified in the system value.

Subject: Abnormal Power Downs

I am experiencing Abnormal Power downs. It happens at random times. The
system is connected to a BEST Fortress UPS. Their are other things
connected to the UPS that have not powered down. I think the UPS is OK. My
IBM SE has replaced the Power Supply and the MFIOP. Does anybody have any
other suggestions of where to look?

Getting Desperate.
