The main problem we found with this is opening the C/A connection and the
security issues associated with that, so decided on FTP. And if you're going
to have a connection, you might as well have the NT machine take the file
off the IFS rather than do a C/A transfer. If you are on V4R4 the formatting
to make a CSV, TXT file or whatever format file are a breeze, from there
simply FTP it with a PUT statement. If your not, it's simply an extra step
to do so.
I spent a fair amount of time researching this same issue ( So I'm a bit
slow ) and after deciding on FTP, it took less than a week to fully
implement both sides.
