  • Subject: Configuring SMTP on AS/400
  • From: Simone Pacciarini <spacciarini@xxxxxxxxx>

We have an AS/400 on a LAN and we need to send some
e-mails from AS/400 procedures to the users that have
clients running Lotus Notes (Notes server is not
AS/400). We are experiencing problems in setting up
the SMTP on AS/400. We have followed some guidelines
but unfortunately nothing works at the moment.
Does anybody have a detailed guide and/or suggestions
to set up SMTP properly ?
We do not have a remote SMTP server; we want the
AS/400 to be the SMTP server.
This is the scenario that does not work; on the other
hand we have an other AS/400 that routes to a remote
SMTP server and everything works fine with it.
