What I've done is save the speadsheet to csv format on
the ifs, then use rpg (and the unix api's) to read the
file, parse it, and write to an as/400 file.

Gotchas are commas used as 1000's separators.

You can validate and/or convert the data, create an
exception listing, etc etc.
