If you want to use the AS/400's liceenses (which are recorded and monitored on
the AS/400), then you have to connect to the AS/400 first.  Then you can set the
AS/400 up to emulate a 3174 controller and passthrough to the mainframe from the
AS/400.  STR3270EML is your command.  You will have some keyboard mapping to do,
but it's passable emulation.
