I would say you can skip that first PTF cum install.
1) Just run automatic install for V4R4 to V4R5.
2) If you already installed the new version of CODE/400 it will remain installed, if you have an old version install manually.
3) Cum PTF package install.

5769-CL3 is the ordering number for the upgrade from 5763-CL2.  This was not
available at the release of V4R5M0 of the operating system.  That's why it
doesn't show under prepare for install.  Here's what I did - worked fine.
Install V4R5 by the book (don't use the three 5769-CL3 CDs), including cum
CD install.  You can use automatic upgrade this way.  After, use option 1 -
manual install and answer yes to install all products using the three
5769-CL3 CDs, then install the cum CDs again to pick up any PTFs for
5769-CL3.
