You need a Domain Name Server or DNS in your organization.  Do you already
have one?  If not then the 400 supports being a DNS.  If you do then you
need to add the new 400 to the DNS.  Once you have that set up then you
need to make sure your clients use the DNS.  If your client is another 400
then that is done with
GO CFGTCP
12. Change TCP/IP domain information
Domain name server:
  Internet address . . . . . . .   '10.10.1.252'

If you client is NT then that will be done by:
Right clicking on Network Neighborhood
Selecting Properties
Select Protocols tab
Select TCP/IP
Select Properties
Select DNS tab
Fill in the blanks

We've added another AS/400 to our network.  I can attach to the new system
if I create a host table entry, but we are moving away from defining local
host tables, so what do I need to do?
