Oh, that's nice.  So to use the FOR you have to test C>A or C<A and select
the FOR instance that you want to run.  Interesting that the format changes!
FOR,BY,TO but FOR,DOWNTO,BY.

I changed my test code and it works fine for any input now.  Nice way to
confuse my fellow coders.

I'll grant you it's not the most intuitive form but the following code
compiles and runs
as expected:

D i               S              5I 0
C                   for       i = 10 downto 0 by 1
C     i             dsply
C                   endfor
C                   seton                                        LR
