It may be that EZVIEW is trying to open the file for update.  If you look at
the file attributes you will see that it is coded for ALWUPD(*NO) and
ALWDLT(*NO).  If EZVIEW is ignoring an open failure, it is probably trying
to map a buffer that has never received data.
