Go to the Redbook site (http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/) and download manual
"AS/400 Performance Explorer Tips and Techniques" SG24-4781-00. In PDF
format, it is 1504 kb (I have it on my hard drive). Take a look at the
author list.

This web page is interesting http://www.as400.ibm.com/sftsol/pex.htm

Be sure to look at the link on the bottom of the page
http://www.as400service.ibm.com/p_dir/pexgui.nsf

More cool stuff. The performance tools manual has the basic info.

-|This is a very good first-try test technique. In most cases, you should
-|need no better. An alternative would be a Pex stats run.
-|Descent into more
-|involved Pex runs (next profile then trace) might be interesting if there
-|was a problem.
