The printer must be "physically" able to print MICR... Not all printers
can do this. The fonts you refer to, just "format" the MICR letters and
numbers. The printer still must be capable of printing it.

I decided to do a small search for you and here is what I found
at the hp web site:

It is pretty clear that the stock 8100 does NOT support MICR without
some
add on features from another company.....
