The "screen-scraping" utilities that you're referring to do not change the
nature of the workload on the AS/400. They remain interactive jobs as far as
the AS/400 is concerned.

This is yet another reason why screen scrapers are bad for the AS/400
market. In addition to producing horrible GUI's, they increase the price of
the application software considerably. Not only are you paying a (often
steep!) per seat license for the GUI painter, but you also get nailed by IBM
for interactive feature charges.
