I looked at the ad in e week several times after you asked ... it sure looks
like 16 Gig to me ... well the print is kind of small, it might be 18 Gig ...
let me get a magnifying glass ... well I do not seem to have one ... on the
line right below the whatever Gig is a reference to 99.9+% right out of the
box ... hey no way is that first digit of the Gig a 9 ...

however the part of the ad about the P-series ... that one, according to the
ad goes to 96 Gig - now I do not understand all the technical lingo about hot
swap ceiling vs. SSA storage & SDRAM ... so I guess according to this ad

Netfinity x series to 4 Gig of Memory
our 400 i series goes to 16 Gig of Memory
the RS/6000 p series to 96 Gig of Memory
the 390 z series to 2 TB of Memory

Here's some info from a recent e week e newsletter.

Sometimes when I real busy I not read all my e-editions, but I looking back
at last week or so to see if any had IBM e-server news. There's some
competition there but when I see about IBM I will share some URLs ...
Datamation covered IBM e-server news,
Internet Week had a great piece on the z-series & on free software from IBM.

Nothing about the IBM announcement made it into the last e-Economist
I figure that "Sept 6" really should be "Oct 6" (typo)
not that they are on some kind of time machine
