Martin, with SQL you may simply write:
Select Option, max(Date), count(*) from YourFile
group by option.
You may redirect the output to a printer.

Let me know if it's OK.

Oggetto: Query/400 problem

We have a simple file holding three fields:

Option (10A), User (10A), Date (10L)

Eg:

Option User Date
A Joe 2000-10-01
A Pete 2000-09-30
A Joe 2000-09-20
B Brian 2000-09-29
C Judy 2000-09-30
C Liz 2000-01-07
C Joe 1999-12-22

I want to write a query that will show me the last time an option was used,
no matter who by, resulting in:

A 2000-10-01
B 2000-09-29
C 2000-09-30

Any ideas? Thank you!

Martin
