Have you configured a virtual workstation controller and devices attached to
it on the remote system?  Are you set up to automatically create the virtual
devices?  The controller is of type *VWS and the devices have a class of
*VRT.

Any how I prefer to telnet from one AS400 to the other.  No SNA required.

when I try to STRPASTHR RMTLOCNAME(S10A8049) LCLLOCNAME(TAMNET2)
I got a message like this :

Message . . . . :   APPC failure. Failure code is X'0009000000000000'.

Cause . . . . . :   An APPC failure occurred while pass-through was using

  device S10A8049 on system AS400E. The first four digits of the failure
code 
  contain the reason code.  The remaining digits contain sense data. Values

  for the first four digits of the failure code are:

    0009 -- Activate session timed out.


what should i do ?
