  • Subject: create a null character in tab delimited text file - Client Access Express

I'm told I need a tab delimited file with spaces before the tabs and null
values in fields with no data. I can create fields with X'20' with RPG
program and have been using fields with X'40' between "normal" fields. After
going thru Client Access Express the fields with this X'20' look like a dot
right in the middle of the character (centered up and down and left and
right) and of course aren't a null on the SQL server when loaded there. I
must be making this too complicated ! ?

TIA
