Buck:

The reason so many As/400 people have a fear of journaling is because the
software salesman told them to be afraid.  They used "performance problems"
as an excuse for not 'doing the right thing' and building journaling and
commitment control into the million dollar application software package they
were trying to sell  you.

If I paid $100K or a million bucks or more for an app and it didn't have
journaling and commitment control built in, I'd be pissed!!
