regarding the Journaling performance  question, it's been a while, but we
found that to put the journals and recievers in thier own ASP (ergo
dedicated drives) was a major performance plus...granted this was on
already burdened systems who's owners were too cheap to upgrade...

I'ld be interested if anyone has worked this part of the issue recently
and what the results were..
