Think about getting a RAS with dial-in and (hang-up/dial back) to numbers 
you approve.

This is very intriguing to me as I have the same problem.  But... I cannot
envision the vendor can run the job to vary the line on so they can dial
in.  Or, are you saying that you developers run that program locally so 
the
vendor can then dial in?  Now that I've typed this, I guess that is what
you mean.  I have do that -- my operators can "toggle" the vendor line via
a CL program.  My next question though is how do you monitor the line to
cancel the dial in and vary it off?
