Hey Geezer!

First you need to do a Manual IPL from "D" (tape) using your SAVE 21
tapes to get to DST.
Next while in DST you will want to use option 2 to install the LIC.
This step also sets up your disks to be cleared. The system will then
IPL from the newly installed LIC.
You should get a screen complaining that there is a new disk
configuration. (All your units are un-configured)
You must make your way into DST and Work with Disk Unit, then Disk
Configuration, then ASP Configuration, then Add all the units to ASP 1.
(Assuming no ASPs)
Now back up to the DST main menu and take the Install the Operating
System option.
Once that completes THEN you can use RESTORE option 21 to finish the
job.

Quite Simple really, a few Mt Dews, and you're all set!

Hope this helps, and Happy Restoring!

   - Larry

ps: Note that if your system contains INS servers you MUST have them
varied off durint the SAVE option 21 or that stuff will not be properly
saved.

pps: TWO saves are better than One, and a clean tape drive is a happy
drive!
