I'm curious:

How many people have "hacked" the RPG ILE compiler message file to allow you
to indent the opcodes?

I have; anyone else?

I hadn't thought about the conversion, but I've noticed that I'm having more
and more trouble doing maintenance on RPG Classic code. I ask myself things
like "What's this IFEQ opcode?" and other silly questions. I tend to
convert everything I need to change more than a few lines of code on. That
way I'll at least understand my modifications as well as I ever understand
my modifications.

Admittedly this is like reading Chaucer with parts machine translated into
modern English, but I'm willing to bet that if there are future generations
of RPG programmers, they'll probably not do too well with RPG Classic. I
think I'd want some sort of compulsion/coercion to do a wholesale
translation on entire systems, though.
