I'm no JDE expert, and you may have already considered this, but could the
files have been moved (in which case WRKOBJ *ALL/filename would find it) or
renamed (in which case, good luck<G>)?

As far as I know, if the file wasn't journalled you would have to find a job
log that shows what happened, and if it was deleted by an interactive user
who signed off with *NOLIST, you're probably out of luck.
