Gerald,

That was my intention of my original post(I think I even stated it) It was
not to be an advertisement.
It was to be an open letter to the stockholders exactly as you described.
I would love to put in dollars and cents to the stockholders.

Like;

IBM's platform X, Which runs IBM's rival's Chip, and another of IBM's
rival's OS, Cost IBM hundreds of millions of dollars for xxx years. (And
IBM had to pay royalties to two of it's rivals)

However IBM's AS/400, Runs IBM's own chip, and IBM's own OS. Which one
do you think IBM could make more money with?

Can we get this moving? I'm in.

John Carr

---------------------------------
How about running the ad in the WSJ, but target it as an open letter to the
Stockholders of IBM, and not IBM directly. Tell the stockholders to ask the
board members why IBM isn't marketing their best platform... Have them do
the snail-mail shuffle. Seems to me today that the stockholders hold the
cards in the corporate world.
