Hi Jack

I wrote a tool for just this purpose some years back. There's a
description of it on the miscellaneous tools page on my site (see .sig)
- just look for EMS (Electronic Message System - original, huh ;-) ). If
it sounds what you're after, let me know. It will be free software under
the GPL, and you'll have the code to tweak as you see fit. It won't take
long to make it available.
