Check your browse announce interval with ops nav.  If it is *zero, it will
not inform the network that it is there.  Also set your WINS server up.

Why should I put it in the LMHosts? we don't use them on our network. 
Yes I can ping it. by any mean possible. 
Yes it takes à little while before it shows all the directories and
libraries, but I think it's normal we have more than a few dirs/libs.
The fact is that I want to have the AS400 in the network neighborhood w/o
having to install CA. 
Ain't that the use of NetServer?
