There are an infinity of standard packages that copy almost any AS/400 file
or spool file to almost any PC format. Their interfaces are often designed
for the non-technical ORDINARY PERSON who should be able to do their job
without having to become an expert on what is going on under the covers. Do
we have to understand the workings of an automobile or TV set to turn it on &
use it?

Now if the employer wants to hire ordinary people but not pay the money to
provide them ordinary tools to get their job done, then that is an ordinary
scenario.
