I think you are talking about the commands like SP for wrksplf in PDM?
When you are in a place where those brief commands work, use F16 and
follow your nose. Here's a portion of my options file so you can see how
it works:

File . . . . . . . :   QAUOOPT          Member . . . . . . :   QAUOOPT
  Library  . . . . :     QGPL           Position to  . . . :

Type options, press Enter.
  2=Change         3=Copy         4=Delete         5=Display

Opt  Option  Command
       DM    DSPMSG
       EA    EDTOBJAUT OBJ(&L/&N) OBJTYPE(&T)
       ED    Enddbg
       EL    edtlibl
       FD    DSPFD FILE(&L/&N)
       GO    GO &L/&N
       I1    ? strisdb pgm(&n) updprod(*yes) invpgm(*cmd)
       I2    strisdb pgm(&N) updprod(*yes)
       I3    strDBG pgm(&L/&N) updprod(*yes)

Is this what you had in mind?

Please respond to MIDRANGE-L

        cc:
        Subject:        Alias

Is there a simple clean way to create aliases for common commands? And if
so, can it be taken farther to enter default values...ie:

EL = Edtlibl
AL = Addlible
or
AL TestLIB = Addlible &parm *last

Just curious...
TIA, Tim
