Title: RE: Is Ops Navigator slow for others too?
I agree it's easy, but it's slow.  Even on our 720 where regular eRPG programs run lightning fast, the AS/400 tasks menus just drags... on... and on...

Now, if I had a command, say CRTSRVINS (Create Server Instance) that would be all I would need to stay out of that AS/400 tasks menu.  Or, if they simply got rid of that Net.Slow (sorry, no harm meant) and used eRPG it may work a lot faster.  But it's still not going to be as fast as command line.

I can already create a config by simply copying a member, so that part is figured out.  For editing configs, I agree that for big changes green screen is slow (it's the interface, if it was SEU, it would be fine) but the web pages are even slower to move around, make a couple changes, etc.  I usually FTP the config members to my PC, change, then upload.

I know there's an API out there somewhere to create a server instance.  I'll find it one day and make a command.  :)

Brad

Joel, try using the port 2001 to access the HTTP administration server instance, it's all done from there.  Believe me, it'S an easy thing doing it from there.. you have it all and more...

Have you tried using the administration software for the HTTP server from
Ops Nav?  I believe it's written in Java.  The screens are very nice, but I
generally do everything on a green screen because I'm too impatient.
